Scholarships Programs Available in Finland Every year
Finland is globally recognised for its high-quality education system, cutting-edge research, and strong commitment to equality and sustainability. Each year, Finnish universities offer a wide range of scholarship opportunities to international students, making world-class education accessible to talented individuals from all backgrounds.
These scholarships are primarily available for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes taught in English and are aimed at non-EU/EEA students. Most scholarships reduce or fully cover tuition fees, and in some cases, they also provide financial support for living expenses. This allows students to focus on their academic goals without unnecessary financial pressure.
A key strength of Finland’s scholarship system is its merit-based approach. Awards are granted based on academic excellence, motivation, and future potential rather than personal background or connections. This transparent and fair system encourages strong academic performance and rewards commitment. Many universities also allow scholarships to be renewed annually, provided students meet the required academic progress.
Through these initiatives, Finland continues to attract ambitious, high-achieving students while promoting international collaboration and cultural exchange.
